If you’ve ever pulled on a pair of leggings only to have them roll down at the waist, dig in at the hips or go see-through the moment you bend over — you’ll understand why we made these. Our Hayley Joy Leggings are cut specifically for real, curvy and plus-size shapes, with a generous fit through the hip and thigh and a wide elasticated waistband that stays exactly where you put it.
They’re soft enough to wear all day, opaque enough to wear with a shorter top, and stretchy enough to move with you whether you’re running errands, working from home, or heading out for the evening.
How They Fit
Our leggings run generously compared to high-street sizing. If you’re between sizes, most of our customers find their usual size fits perfectly — but please refer to the size guide below before ordering, especially if it’s your first Hayley Joy purchase.

Because every body is different, we photograph our leggings on three different size models so you can see how they will look on you:
- Size Large model — sizes S to L fit similarly
- Size 3XL model — sizes XL to 3XL fit similarly. This is our most popular size range
- Size 5XL model — sizes 4XL to 7XL fit similarly
When you choose your size, the photo on the page will update to match the model closest to your size.
Fabric and Feel
Our leggings are made from a 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex blend. We chose this fabric specifically because it holds its shape wash after wash, doesn’t pill, stays fully opaque even when stretched, and dries quickly without needing to be ironed. The hand-feel is smooth and soft, with a comfortable amount of four-way stretch.
Available Colours
Our leggings come in three permanent core colours — Black, Navy and Brown — plus rotating fashion colours each season. The core colours are always in stock; fashion colours are limited editions, so if you spot one you love, don’t wait.

How to Measure Yourself
Stand relaxed, in your underwear, with a soft measuring tape. Don’t pull tight — let the tape sit comfortably against your body.
- Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, usually just above your belly button.
- Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips and bottom, with your feet together.
If you don’t have a measuring tape, a piece of string and a ruler works just as well — wrap the string around, mark where it meets, then measure the string against the ruler.

Shipping
We offer door-to-door delivery at a flat rate of R250 to major centres, as well as a PUDO locker option at R89, allowing you to collect your parcel from a secure self-service locker provided by The Courier Guy at a time that suits you. If using Pudo, it's important to let us know which locker you want us to send your order to by adding it to the Order Notes on the checkout page. You can find your nearest locker by clicking HERE.
Delivery within South Africa typically takes 3–5 working days. If an item is not in stock, please allow up to 14 working days for production in addition to delivery time. Additional charges may apply for outlying areas.
Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
Returns, exchanges, or refunds can be requested within 7 days from receipt, provided items are unworn, unwashed, and returned with original tags attached. If you order the incorrect size, exchanges are subject to stock availability, and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
If an item is damaged or incorrect, we will arrange collection and offer a replacement or full refund at our cost. Refunds are processed via EFT once the returned item has been received and inspected.
A size 44 dress size fits comfortably into our 3XL legging. If you carry more weight on your hips than your waist, you may prefer to size up to 4XL for extra comfort. Yes, our leggings are fully opaque. The 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex blend holds its colour and coverage even when stretched, so you can wear them with a shorter top without worrying. We’ve tested them in bright sunlight and against light backgrounds.
No. We use a wide elasticated waistband specifically designed to stay in place. This was one of the most common complaints we heard about other leggings, so we built ours to solve exactly that problem.
Both. The fabric is opaque enough and the cut is flattering enough to wear as pants with a longer top. Many of our customers wear them with our Miracle Tunics or Shape Tops as a complete outfit.
No, provided you wash them gently in cold water and hang them to dry. We do not recommend tumble drying or hot washing, as polyester-spandex blends can lose their stretch with high heat.
